Ace Lafond

Tansi, hello,

My name is Ace Lafond. I am a Nehiyaw father, husband, and artist. My love of art began at a young age; notably from watching my late Uncle Clifford turn his daughter's empty diaper boxes into beautiful paintings. I would watch him and try to recreate his work, this is where the foundation of my artistic journey began. From childhood to my teenage years, I drew, painted, and sculpted then later in my teen years, into my early adult life I became very interested in electronics, so much so I pursued a career in the field and became an electronic technician. My love for photography actually began when phones began integrating better quality cameras into their technology, and it grew from there into using DSLR cameras. Photography was the medium that allowed me to follow both of my passions; Art and Technology. I have been a photographer for 10+ years, photographing almost every genre of photography throughout my artistic career, but notably fashion photography. I have collaborated with many designers and models, photographed multiple fashion shows, and have had my work published internationally. I am looking forward to sharing my love of photography and teaching the knowledge I’ve learned over the years to the students of Remedy Music School.
